We rolled into tiny Seibert,Colorado on Thursday night with just enough time to go for a quick(very quick) bike ride through the center of town(a grocery store, greenhouse and post office) and so that the kids could play at the playground.  There really isn't really much to say about Seibert other than every street ended in a corn field and that I was wrong about my stop sign count.  I believe there were 3. The wind blew us out of town yesterday morning in record time. It almost blew us out of town in the middle of the night.  The rv was rocking all night long.  Ty spotted a tumble weed and insisted that we were in a ghost town(almost).  Needles to say, it was our earliest departure yet.  I think we might be getting the hang of this!  The sunny skies of the Colorado prairies gave way to views of Pikes Peak and I knew we had arrived in Colorado Springs.  Before checking in to our rv "resort", we made a bittersweet stop at the house my sister Julie lived in before passed away.  It looks exactly the same and I was glad to see that the current owners are using all of the garden boxes that she had built for the vegetable garden that she was so proud of.  We checked in to our rv "resort" for lunch and decided we could bike to Garden of the Gods.  We biked for 2 blocks, rounded the bend, and saw before us a hill that looked to me to be almost straight up.  It wasn't, but it might as well have been.  Ty lasted about 2 seconds and began to wail, "I want to go back to Pittsburgh"!!!  At some point we just gave up and decided that we would drive to Garden of the Gods some other time.  Ugh.....

Today(Saturday), as our Irish dance friends in Pittsburgh got ready for our dance schools recital, Ella and Libby competed at the Pikes Peak feis, which took up most of the day.  On our way  back to the rv  "resort", we stopped by the new home of our friend and neighbor in Pittsburgh. They will be moving to CO, Springs in a few weeks.  It was really fun to have a sneak peak of their brand new home and to take some pictures for them to see the construction progress.  Now our kids want a new house too! We wish them the best of luck and will miss them terribly.  This evening the kids went swimming for a long time and made friends with the kids in the rv parked net to us.  They had a ball!  We'll be spending Father's Day with the Colorado Rubenstien's at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and will then be moving on to the Denver area to spend some much anticipated time with them.   Happy Father's Day to all of our family and friends....have a great day all you Dad's out there!!!!
